1. Switch your 6am coffee to warm water with fresh lemon, apple cider vinegar and Manuka honey. Not only does it help to rehydrate the body after a nights sleep, it also flushes the digestive system and sets you up for the day ahead.
2. While sipping your lemon water take 10 minutes to yourself for some simple mindfulness. Find somewhere quiet. If meditation doesn't come naturally to you just sit in a comfortable position and spend a few minutes with yourself and your breath. Visualising the breath entering and leaving the body, if you find the mind wandering refocus on your breathing. Another great morning exercise is journaling. Grabbing a notebook and a pen and just writing. Anything and everything. What happened yesterday, what's happening today, what are you grateful for right now. It doesn't have to be a novel just a few lines is enough. And start the day fresh and ready to tackle the world!
